Lifelines Research Community

The aim of the Lifelines community is to strengthen the bonds between Lifelines and all our users, and to stimulate connections and collaborations between all scientists working with our data and samples.

Building bridges with Lifelines

The aim of our community is to strengthen the bonds between Lifelines and all our users, and to stimulate connections and collaborations between all scientists working with our data and samples. This is why last november, our first ever community event took place! Interactive workshops were facilitated by experts who have worked together with Lifelines on different topics:

  • Technological Innovation: synthetic dataset development by Lifelines
  • FAIR data stewardship: with tips and tricks for data-cleaning, data-harmonization and syntax sharing
  • Data Linkage: practical steps for combining the Lifelines dataset with other registries like PALGA, IKNL and CBS
  • Omics-based research: hands on tips for working in gearshift and phenotypic/genetic data analysis

Sign up for the Lifelines Community Event, October 10th 2024!

Upcoming events

Join us for an online meetup and learn how to start your own impactful research project! Get easy access to the largest collection of longitudinal ‘real world’ data and samples in Europe. Leave the time-consuming collecting of data and samples to us, and start analysing immediately.

These are the next meetup dates:
- May 13th 2024 Registration is now open
- August 29th 2024 - Registration is not yet open
- November 28th 2024 - Registration is not yet open

Synthetic data generation

Synthetic data generation is the process of crafting
artificial data that simulates real-world data. This is
achieved through training AI with large datasets
such as longitudinal data from Lifelines.
