This study explores how long-term stress, and adverse childhood experiences predict chances of getting cancer. First, we want to see if past stress can predict cancer incidence and changes in HRV, blood pressure, and hair stress hormones. Second, we're testing if HRV or hair stress hormones act as a mediators between past stress and the risk of getting cancer. Finally, we want to compare epigenetic profiles associated with stress/cancer incidence characteristics based on data from DEEP and GWAS databases: High stress/Cancer, Low stress/Cancer, High stress/noCancer and low stress/noCancer.
