Large-scale data-driven approach to identify the factors that increase or decrease the risk of depression and suicidality in elderly caregivers caring for other elderly

The purpose of this research project is to identify the factors that increase or decrease the risk of depression and suicidality in elderly caregivers of other elderly, and to examine the complex relationship between these factors. With the Lifelines database, symbolic regression and genetic algorithms will be used to determine the key factors affecting level of depression, and the relationship between these factors. Using a data-driven approach, all collected data of participnts aged 65+ above will be analysed.
