This project explores how family-level health status and socioeconomic status influences perinatal-to-childhood health outcomes. By combining biological aging indicators and lifestyle data (e.g., diet, exercise, smoking) across generations, we define familial health. Using large-scale family-based cohorts in Japan and the Netherlands, we assess its association with perinatal and pediatric outcomes such as preeclampsia, low birth weight, childhood obesity, hypertension, and developmental problems. This study contributes to the development of preventive strategies targeting entire families to improve child health.
