Technological innovations, including artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, are rapidly transforming organizations. While these advancements enhance business performance, their impact on job satisfaction and employee well-being warrants further study. This project examines how adopting advanced technologies across sectors influences employee well-being, focusing on mental health outcomes like stress, anxiety, and life satisfaction, as well as physical health issues like heart and blood pressure problems. It also explores the interplay between these outcomes and whether specific industries and/or groups of employees (e.g., by age or skill level) are disproportionately affected. The research will integrate Lifelines data with SME technology adoption data from the Northern Netherlands Innovation Monitor.
